W/S Washer Nozzles - Arm Type? 1990

Hey Guys,

Anyone have some details on the newer style W/S Washer nozzles they put on the 1990 Camaro's?

I think they started putting the washer nozzles on the arms instead of the block style just below the windshield on the cowl sometime around 1989?

I have the newer style and need all four of them for both arms.

Has anyone seen some replacements as I undestand these are discontinued from GM?

Bumping this up, need new nozzles for mine as well and there is almost no information on them. Found replacement wiper arms that appear to have them at $24 per arm. 4th gen design looks different. 81-91 GM trucks also had wiper mounted nozzles but a bit different design. Other option seem to be the universal adjustable ones to put on the cowl area. But still would like to find the originals if possible.

Re: W/S Washer Nozzles - Arm Type? 1990

The changeover year was 87. Before 87 the nozzles are on the cowl, 87-92 have 'wet wiper arm" technology.

The nozzles are discontinued. They tend to lead hard lives in proximity to ice scrapers and bone heads. The design of the nozzles changed a little from 87-92, I'd expect they'd all interchange but finding the right ones for the year might be a problem.

So here are 3 options :
1 - Junkyard. If you find them here, they'd be cheap, but also likely brittle from age, or worse.
2 - Buy new wiper arms. Pricey for just the nozzles.
3 - Dorman 47136 NOTE - Dorman doesn't list these for thirdgens. However, they look to me like they're about right, from the photos. I haven't gotten around to ordering a set to find out, so if you do order a set, be fully prepared for them to be completely wrong and unsuitable for the task. Also if you do order a set, come back and let the Drewster know if they're a match.

I need one for my project restoration. But seeing as washing the windshield is about item number 7 million, 9 hundred thousand, and 5 on my priority list, it'll probably be a good long time before I find out if the Dorman part will work.

So there you go, 2 cents and all that. Use your best judgement.
