Re: fenders

few bolts run along the top of the fender, few down the nose, one big bolt at the bottom near the doors, other than that is just the support brackets and antenna that need to be removed

Re: fenders

When I removed my fenders the bolts for the nose cone were a pain in the **#, they actually came unscrewed from the nosecone before the nut even broke loose. Be carful!!!

Hood comes off first , hinges are covering the fender, ground effects need to be removed. There's one big bolt at the lower rear corner of each fender, a bunch of bolts along the top that you can see, then three on each fender that hold the nose cone to the fender. Those are the ones that are usually stuck. Be prepared for those to just rip off, so you will need to remove the nose to install new retainers if that happens. You need to pull the belly pan/ air dams to get to the bolts from below.

Re: fenders

The hood has to come off, the hinges are bolted to the fenders

doesn't have to come off, just have to remove the bolts, slide the fender out, and put the bolts back in, hood lines right back up where it was

that's if you are doing one side at a time

Uhm. I guess. I don't see how you wouldn't end up warping/bending/ruining a fender trying it that way.

It takes all of 20 minutes to take a front end off a thirdgen.

Re: fenders

Or worse, breaking the mounting tabs on the nose cone. They tear off pretty easy.

True. I've got an absolutely mint 85-90 formula cover that has a broken off tab on the top left corner.
