91-92 chin spoiler: repair or replace? My chin spoiler, apart from the splits in the corners- broken right through, almost to the top- also is missing the tabs that go through the front fenders that are secured by clips on the inside. I am pretty confident I can plastic weld and repair the cracks- I'll do a write if I go that route- but the tabs are a tougher nut to crack. Is anyone familiar with this damage, do you have experience repairing it so the spoiler fits properly against the fenders or- and here is the $64,000 question- is there an aftermarket spoiler that is as good as the original, or should I do whatever is necessary to fix mine, rather that buy a reproduction? |
Re: 91-92 chin spoiler: repair or replace? I loaned my '92 to my daughter when her car was in the shop for a couple of days. Now I'm in the same boat as you. If anyone knows of a good aftermarket chin spoiler let me, or the OP, know. |
Re: 91-92 chin spoiler: repair or replace? I believe Hawks have the spoilers. I purchased one from them a few years ago. |

Re: 91-92 chin spoiler: repair or replace? How would you rate the Hawks spoiler? Does it have all the attachment tabs- what is the fit and finish like? |
