Power door opener and key position

I have an 84 Z28 with power door switches and hatch poper. Can anyone tell me if, from the factory, these options worked with the key in the off position?

Power Door locks work with key off or on. Power windows with key on. If I remember correctly, Hatch pop with key off or on, but needs to be in park for automatic or ebrake on for manual.
