Interpart 3 Piece Metal Louvers - What are they worth? How much do you think these should be going for? I will be putting in an offer for them as they'll fit my 82 perfectly. They seem to be in very good condition and are much better than the ABS ones that are out there (and in the background on the black car of the below pic). I think they are comparable to the GM and Cragar ones out there. I was thinking about $600 but curious as to what you think. Please - no "louvers suck - don't do it" comments. Re: Interpart 3 Piece Metal Louvers - What are they worth? Those look good. I think $600 is a fair price, but wouldn't be surprised if they are worth more. Of course by the time you add "10% for the big guy" you will be up over a $1,000 anyway. |

Re: Interpart 3 Piece Metal Louvers - What are they worth? UPDATE - Well, big disappointment. Got there and first of all, got in the car and made sure I could live with the reduced visibility (not that bad at all). Then I noticed that they are all aluminum, not plastic sides. They also have the hinge to raise them to clean the window. Really nice. Not a single dent in any of the slats and the hardware's all there. Some of the slats were loose but it looked like I'd be able to tighten those up pretty easily once I got a look at them from the underside. The dealbreaker - the frame on the right side (runs perpendicular to the slats) was broken in one place. It'd have to be TIG welded up, which probably wouldn't be too hard for a pro to do (I"ve never TIG welded). So not worth it at this point unless I get desperate. |
Re: Interpart 3 Piece Metal Louvers - What are they worth? Saw those. I can't deal with those side pieces. Just doesn't look right to me. I like the wraparound look like the GM or Cragars. And those side pieces are plastic too. I'd rather have the 1 piece plastic ones than those crazy side pieces |
