4th gen brakes
 

ok if i have a forth gen rear with the 3rd gen brake set up how do i connect the rear axle to the line running from the master cylinder to the rear axle??

screw them in together if they have the same threads. im unsure of what your asking. the axle brake line meets at a t-block on the driver side tube or diff. the hard line from the MC/PV goes down the car to the t-block

the parts guy at the store said they wouldnt screw together.. i guess i should get under there before i ask the question lol i'll have to do some digging.

figure out what threads and buy yourself a brass adapter from the store. aco, lowes home depot, ace, plumbing stores might have them, or give a call to inlinetube and see what they recommend. they are michigan local (very close to me) and i highly highly receommend them.

Hi! I have drummel rear end, can i change disc brakes them easy without changing all rear end? And i dont wanna use 4th gen rear because i have very wide wheels.

Yes you can put discs on a drum rear but will either have to order a special mounting plate from flynbye or center and drill holes for the regular disc mounting plate on the drum rear backing plate and cut off the top. You may need shims and will need to remove the axles. Do a search.

i have the 4th gen rear end. i was a little confused on how to attach the line in the center of the rear axle to the body line on the car being that the rear end was a 4th gen and the car is a 91.

If you have a later 4th gen rear that had 4 channel anti lock brakes the lines from the calipers were originally designed to attach to two separate flex lines going to the body. In this case you either need to rebend the lines carefully or replace with earlier 4th gen disc lines so that they can be threaded into each side of the Tee connector on the rubber hose from the body to the axle.

As the 4th gen rear I have is from a 97 (Camaro) I would think that yours may have been set up originally for the 4 channel antilock brake system the same as mine is. Because I am not going to run the 4th gen rear (bought for parts) I am not concerned about mine yet.
