bubble flare or double flare for caliper side??

Im making custom lines for my brake setup. The caliper side seems to be a metric bubble flare? Is that correct? Will a double flare seat and not leak or do I need to buy the tool? Or can I use different hoses and convert it to SAE? Send links to parts please if you suggest something. Thank you. Trying finish up the brake lines this weekend.

Thats correct it’s a bubble flare. You’ll need to get the right flaring tool to make the lines. You might be able to rent one from autozone. A double flare won’t seat, and even if it didn’t leak at first it would eventually fail.

Or, spend all of $15 a side and replace the calipers, with ones for 83-back, w SAE flare. Might be cheeeeeeeeper than buying the tools.

And you will still have your old calipers... of course you know what the next thing that will happen is, I know FOR SURE it would be what would happen to me anyway, is that I would buy the tool and bend up the lines and make the hoses and whatever all else, IOW spend the shipload of money on it, and discover I need new calipers ANYWAY after it's too late to return anything... :(

Lol Always the way. I am converting to full Wilwood brakes. Not right away but during this build. Gotta space it out lol Front brakes are 1k the new 9" rear with wilwood 4 piston calipers is $3500 plus the $2500 for the engine rebuild not including heads and parts i already bought. So for right now Im concentrating on the engine bay parts for the paint work. The rest can be done later.
