Rear e brake line too long I have been looking around on here for over an hour and I have not found what I am looking for. So I have a rear that was In the '85 T/A. I swapped it into the '88 drum car, everything has been okay so far other then the t/a mount was different. So I swap the t/a for the one off the '88. My problem is that the e brake cable on the driver side is too long by about a half inch or so. I've tired the adjustment screw with no luck. By the time it gets where it needs to be the passenger side is too tight and the disc is locked. What am I missing here? Or do I need a different length cable? I figured it would all swap in. Thanks for any help |

Re: Rear e brake line too long All the parts I am using are for a rear disc setup. |
Re: Rear e brake line too long Sorry for my misunderstanding. Could routing be an issue? JamesC |
Re: Rear e brake line too long If all the parts are correct ( 85 and 88 Disc brake cables should be the same ) it sounds like you didn't unscrew the E-Brake Parking "equalizer" enough. A real PITA when the driveshaft is installed, but really easy to do when the driveshaft is removed. Post some pics ! :driving: |
