Oops! Made a crappy boo boo ><><><

When installing my Alpine Type R Component system, my screwdriver slipped and poked a tiny hole in the rubber surround on the speaker. Will this effect sound quality at all? Is there any way I could fix this? Maybe some rubber cement? I don't know >< I'm not real good on electronics so any help would be greatly appreciated. The hole that I poked is extremely tiny maybe like a millimeter or two. Thanks a lot if you can help. Eric

Go to your local autoparts store, and buy a tube of black rtv silicone. Should only be a few bucks. Take a little on your finger, flip your sub upside down, and smear it on the inside. Will do the trick.

If it's a rubber surround, I'd dab a very small amount of silicone on the back side of the tear, then leave the speaker out in the open for 24 hours while the silicone dries.
