Does anyone have the Q LOgic boxes
 

Getting ready to order me a Q Logic box from Crutchfield does anyone have these. What are your thoughts? Any Pics would be helpful?

dont have one but my opinion - junk. if you have a jigsaw and circular or preferably table saw, build your own. can get a sheet of mdf like 8x4 ft. for 20 bucks. thats more than enough for a box. if you need a couple tries, get another sheet or two.

it'll be heavier but sound and look a lot better.

I don't like the fact that you can't use the lockbox when that Q-Logic box is installed. I don't know why, but I'm just not willing to give the lockbox up.

I just got one,exactly identical to the one shown in the pix above.My opinion on it,not as bad as I was expecting it to be.Forget the color portion of it.95% of it is a normal mdf black carpeted sub box.The top portion you see is just a cheap(and I mean cheap)plastic cover.The box itself is solid enough and built better than I thought it would be.it looks pretty good without the cover at all.I bought it only because I got one hell of a deal on it.75 bucks actually from cardomain,they are normaly $200-$300 dollars.I get the impression they are discontinuing the doeskin which is why I got such a good deal.There is no way I would consider paying full price for one of these,they are not worth it.There are far better sub boxes out there,talk to Jim85 out there,his are much better and alot more tailor made to fit in the well of our cars.The only custom part of these qlogic boxes is the top cheap plastic part.Like I said if you get one hell of a deal on it,go for it.Even if you get the doeskin and paint the top plastic part black.beats paying full price,otherwise forget it..

oh yes and the speaker grills are not black they are the same color as the rest of the plastic part(tan/doeskin in this case)for what it's worth.

Don't go with the Q-Logic box... They're really cheap for the money. I put one in my car, and it fell apart after awhile. If you have the know how and materials, I'd suggest building a box yourself, to your specific subs specs. If not, then I'd suggest talking to a local car audio place who will build you a box, which again, will be to the specs of your sub. I have a custom box my boyfriend and I built, and I'd never go back to a prefab box ever again. Good luck :)

Do it right the first time and either build your own or have one custom built. Aside from the build quality of this enclosure there are probably other issues to consider. For instance what are the volume requirements of your subs versus the volume of the enclosure.

wow.. lots of bad reviews here. Shawn did you ever buy the box?? I'm ready to order one myself..

well with all these bad reviews i say **** it i aint buying one i will build one at the wood shop down were i work or have them do it for 100 bucks he will do it
