Question about wiring component speakers and amps.
 

I just ordered these from third gen ranch http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...t-PCE-216.html what I want to know is if I can run these off 2 channels or do I need a full 4 channel amp? I just got a kenwood 4 channel amp and 2 channels are hooked up to the rears and the 6 1/2's are going in the doors. Can I just hook up the woofer and tweeter to one channel?

Yes, they come with a crossover. The crossover splits the 1 channel from the amp into a signal for the woofer and tweeter.

get a 4 channel amp for them, they can work with 2 channels but it's not the same, it would be a shame not to power them properly, they are so nice and amps are so cheap

Due to the crossover, you need to run each speaker to its own channel. There are seperate power inputs on the crossover for the woofer and tweeter. So a 4 channel amp is required to power these speakers. They also have a relatively low sensitivity at 87 which means they will need a strong amp to make them perform their best.

unless i'm missing something from the photos, the crossover will allow you to to power the tweeter and mid from one source without issue (notice the jumper bars on the input side). you can always upgrade amps later, but the 4-channel amp will work for now.

I'm probably going to end up getting a 2 channel amp and putting the tweeters to the 2 channels I have left on the amp I have in there now and hooking up with mid woofer's to the 2 channel amp. How would I hook a remote wire to 3 amps? I've got 2 running off the one wire but I think 3 may be too much.

two's the most that are usually recommended to be safely run off a remote turn on; more and you'll want to wire in a relay to have ample power. grab power from your amp distribution block, ground from where ever, use the remote from the reciever to trigger the relay, and output to however many amps you can fit

as for how to wire what i just mentioned:
(standard 5-pin relay)
30 - fused power (your +12v junction block)
85 - GND
86 - remote turn on from deck
87a - N/A
87 - amps
