Checking radio output

Returning my audio in my 83 back to stock and was wondering if there is a way to check radio output with a multi meter? Besides hooking a speaker up to the wires, have no speakers yet. Will a multi meter on a certain setting be able to tell if a speaker will work when one is hooked up?

Nope! You'd have to use an oscilliscope. That too expensive. Go to walmart, but a cheap set of earbuds.
