2 ohms DVC sub/2 Channel amp? Dumb Question. LOL, not really a dumb question but..... .....rather a question on terminology. If I have ONE sub, which is listed as "2 ohm, dual voice coil", I can wire essentially as if they were two speakers, right? ....and if I have a 2 channel amp with (xxWatts) x 2 channels @ 2 Ohms, then I just give each voice coil it's own channel??? (UN-bridged, right?) |
Re: 2 ohms DVC sub/2 Channel amp? Dumb Question. Correct. Personally, I like to series the coils and then bridge the amp. That eliminates any minor differences in the signal between the channels. Slight difference in the signals being sent to two coils can cause distortion..heat build up...pop! |
Re: 2 ohms DVC sub/2 Channel amp? Dumb Question. Yep....that would make sense. lol. thanks. |
