Upgrading Audio Keepinf Stock Appearance

OK so this is What I have planned and purchased, the idea is to keep the original deck and use that for playing the radio but have the additional input of my Iphone/Ipod, new speakers, equalizer and an amp inconspicuously mounted. Opinions and ideas are welcome as I want to set it up right the first time. I am looking for good sound quality for all types of music not earth shattering base

New Polk DB series 6X9s (stock location)
New Polk DB series 4x6s (stock location)
Clarion EQS755 Car Equalizer (not sure)
and an undetermined amp at this point

The EQ has rca, line level and an auxiliary input, you can switch between the inputs with the flip of a switch, it has sub, front and rear RCA outputs and a separate sub volume knob which I do not plan on using at this point but have the option later

I want to keep the car looking original, currently even the speakers are original but can barely be heard unless the car is not running...

what would be the best place to install the EQ with out drilling holes while maintaining direct access for switching inputs, adjusting etc???

There is some pretty powerful double sided tape out there. maybe you could use that and velcro it to your carpet somewhere on the transmission tunnel on the passenger side. That would also allow you to hide all the cables nearby. Would be an easy candidate for theft though.

MARKT111...I had a similar idea, but executed a little differently. It's all in my thread, starting roughly here.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/memb...ml#post6017366

I used a factory Pontiac AM/FM/CD rebuilt with an aux. jack on a cable, so I could hide it. I went with Infinity speakers, and a Clarion amp. But the head unit has a factory EQ, making it unnecessary to add an EQ.

I really was not looking for an EQ, I was looking for a device with multiple inputs that I could switch between, do you know of anything else that would work?

I am pretty sure those Polk 4x6 speakers will not fit in the front. The magnet is to big on the bottom. I had to use Pioneer 4 x 6 because they were the only ones that were sallow enough.

You had me nervous Burnout, the Polk DB462 fit with no issues. I had to change the angle for the electrical connectors slightly by bending it for the drivers side, other than that it was a perfect fit

I did the passenger side first and could no believe the room left, thought I might want to upgrade to a larger speaker until I saw the drivers side...
