Firebird custom dash speaker covers I had a problem with the tweeters in my 4" alpines hitting the factory dash speaker covers, so I modded them with a dremel, some clear plastic and black fabric. I think they turned out pretty decent. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...3b967a06cc.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...8198c1a7aa.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...8848426e8a.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...7fda8bdb75.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...2d7c11bede.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...9efbdb4b36.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...fa77823007.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...86c688d0be.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...9039f24553.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...e91118d6e1.jpg |
Re: Firebird custom dash speaker covers That's a good idea man! |
Re: Firebird custom dash speaker covers Thanks! I don't think they look too out of place up there, better than fabric riding the tweeter anyway! lol |
Re: Firebird custom dash speaker covers Not bad at all. Good job. |
Re: Firebird custom dash speaker covers Nice job, they look good there. |
Re: Firebird custom dash speaker covers Should have used either perforated plastic or metal. They both lend themselves to painting and forming, and would look much better. Using either material could look closer to factory, if they didn't stand 2" above the dash. A dash pad replacement would improve the interior. |
