two tens facing each other...

when two 10" subs face each other 2 feet apart in mono, the sound waves won't cancel each other out. right? planning to put a 10" in each rear side panel and have them facing each other. thanks for any input... https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/smile.gif

dude, if your gonna mess with 10's, dont put them in the side panel, your gonna lose all the sound...build a box and put them in the hatch, sound SO much hella nicer...

As long as you build a good enclosure for each, you'll be fine. Having them facing towards each other will not cause a problem. As long as they are in phase, they will still be pressurizing and rarefracting the cabin simultaneously.

thanks for replying. will try to build seperate fiberglass enclosures for 2 10s JL Audio which may be sufficient for the volume available in the side panels.

I'll agree with Jim85IROC on this one, generally speaking if they are in phase it will still be compressing the air the right way and should sound ok, but i also think a box in the hatch would be better than side panels too. Just my 02.
