Help! Need female connector part# for Speakers
 

Hello all,
I'm looking to connect my speakers to the factory harness but the female end is brittle and the little tab that keep the two halves together has broken.
I can find the male end (Metra 72-4500) but the female end has eluded me.
I can find one in a pack with a different connector but I need to replace both sides and don't need the extra connector. (Metra 71-1677-1)
Does anyone know the part number of the female 2 wire connector?

Well, I found these. Speaker Lead Wires | #VRR7077CK | Lectric Limited, I'd just cut the one end off.
Suppose I could always just cut the old connectors off and add the standard bullet connectors as well.

If you want to direct connect (no wire splice) then you'll need the connector parts and tools to make proper crimps. The manufacturer is sometimes embossed on the connector itself, or there might be a part number embossed that you can search for to figure out who is the manufacturer. Once you have that then you can go to the manufacturer website and try to figure out what kind of connector it is and find technical data / drawings with all the part numbers of terminals, seals, mating connectors, etc.

If you figure out what kind of connector it is (the family name) then sometimes it's easier to use the search feature at Mouser.com and drill down on the parts. Mouser will most likely have a hot link to the drawings and technical data. And you might be able to buy all the stuff from Mouser too.

Another trick at Mouser.com is to search for unsealed Automotive connectors with the number of pins you need. Then start browsing the pictures until you find candidates. You might be able to reverser engineer it that way.

It's a pack-con terminal, I'd wager an early 1st series. You'll have to depin it to see which series it is for sure
