Stock settings for a 350 ccc compared to LG4 ccc

Ok, I have put in a 350 and have been having some problems which I think might have to do with the carb possibly running lean. I was just basically wondering if anyone has the specs for settings on a stock ccc 350 out of a truck or something so I can set it to that to get me close so that I can get this thing to run right.

I don't have the direct information you've requested. But, float level should be the same. Turn the idle mixture screws out about 7 turns for a good starting point - adjust the IAB from there (shouldn't be any different, since you're adjusting MCS dwell). Choke adjustment would be roughly the same, just fine-tune it when you get there.

I don't think your problems are related to the change in cubic inches.

Yes, I already adjusted the idle mixture screws to about 7 turns out because one was 4.75 and the other was 5.75 to start. Also, is there a speck that I should set the IAB to until I can set it with a dwell meter? Anyway it seems that most people dont think it is carb related so I will check whatever you guys think it is but it seems that I am running out of stuff to check and just want to make sure that everything is right.

Thanks

Don't know what your specific symtoms are but it may be that your cam has a little too much duration w/110lsa. Ten years ago I tried a comp cams mag 270 in my 86 and the lg4 computer couldn't cope very well. Idle was up and down, car seemed lean and wanted to run hot. Spark knocked easily, had no power and seemed impossible to tune. Being a kid and all, I tore all the factory stuff out and changed to a non computer setup. It ran better but it was a hack job on my part and the car wasn't very practical and got terrible mileage thereafter.

Not sayin that this is the problem but perhaps a possible factor.

It may play a role in how it runs but I dont think it is my problem. The headers glow within a minute of it running and the coil tested bad so I am replacing it to see if that is the problem.
