carbon canister removal help!!
 
I have an 85 camaro that is now a tpi but im doing the carb swap and im wondering how to remove the carbon canister. ive heard that you just plug the line that comes from the tank and just put a vented gas cap on it is this true??

Also looking for a way to remove the canister. I've heard the vented gas caps can let gas smell/fumes into the car?

You can also use a fuel filter on the end of the line that goes to the tank, and some hose running to the ground in case gas ever comes out (never happened to me, but to some people. usually if you overfill the tank).

so basically its a breather so can i just cut the line to the carbon canister off back by the tank and put a breather on it i will be fine?
