Mpfi to carb

I’m switching my 2.8 V6 over to a 350 and I’m wondering if I have to do is disconnect the throttle cable from the throttlebody and put it out of the carb for it to work… And does that mean that I could essentially remove the entire computer?

I'm sure someone with more experience will chip in, but I am in the middle of swapping a 305-T5 car to carb, and I'll pass along my notes. I assume your car has either a t5 or a 700r4., the 700r4 should just need attachment for the TV cable, and most aftermarket and GM carbs have one. If you by some odd chance have a 4L60E, you need a throttle position sensor, which is available for most aftermarket carbs. If you have a T5, you are good.

The computer on these cars runs the fuel injection but I am not sure if it is connected to the gauges and radio. . .

The V6 and the V8 use the same ECM. With some wiring changes and a V8 MEMCAL it could run a V8 TPI setup.

I don’t think the 1227302 can drive 8 injectors. It might be better to repin and get a 1227165 and maf. Or get a harness and double check C100 compatibility.
