Subs in a Convertible

Is it worth the effort of building a sub box for a convertible? I'm particularly interested with the top down. It was going to be my winter project for my car, but wanted to make sure it was worth the effort.

Thanks

yea, you can hear it great from the trunk... i do swap between 2 diff bass settings depending on if the top is up or down though.... when its up, i can see my sub, and its a lil louder..... when its down, i can still hear/feel it fine...

im running a good 10" sub in a small box... (i donno the size).. i took the plastic cover that goes over where the spare tire is out, and have the box mounted on the top of the bump that makes up the side of the well, with half the box going into where the spare tire was.
by doing that, i lost almost no storage room... ( i like to use my trunk since its the only lockable place in the car) and it sounds great.
