convertible latch assembly HELP!!!

Please help!!!
I bought my convert a few months ago. the weather was nice so i attemped to go play with my car. i lowered the top for the first time. As i went to put the top up; the cotter pin and latch fell off. and i can't open the tonneau.
I have a print of the PDf someone was nice enough to upload, but there is no close ups of how the latch assembly is put together.
Please help!!!! Pics would be nice

Thats what the underside of the tonneau looks like fully assembled on a cable-style release car.

If the spring loaded cotter pin fell off then the you should just be able to grab hold of the bottom of the window and lift it. That spring clip is what grabs onto the slot of the pin to hold the #5 bow tight to the tonneau.
