sunvisors Do top visors fit a vert? What will interchange? |
Re: sunvisors You will need a pair of the curved T Top visors.Hardtop visors will not work |
Re: sunvisors If you cannot find a pair, make them yourself by using the originals as a form. All you need is some material and a needle with thread. After removing the originals from the car by loosening the screw that attaches them to the post on the car, cut off the old material carefully and lay it out for a pattern to cut the new piece. Cut out a new peice of material and then sew the edges around the old cardboard piece to make the new one. |
Re: sunvisors I'd love to have visors that don't have the two inch gap at the outside. |
Re: sunvisors Then custom build them to your liking. |
Re: sunvisors You can get the cardboard from most upholstery shops, and then cut it to fit. To get a form I have seen where people have somehow got the board soaked and then forced it into the shape they wanted, then let it dry completely... Could put it in an oven at 150°F - 200°F or so to dry it out. I imagine there is a process, but that would be where I would start. The board has to be soaked to where it it flexible. I got some aftermarket sun visors and they did not quite have the shape of the originals, but they were ok... |
Re: sunvisors Can also use 1/8" hard board, they sell in 2 x 4 sheets at homedepot |
