Fan turn on switch
 

Hey guys,
I just dropped my 355 into my car and am having some overheating issues. It runs right were it should when I am driving, but heats up when it is idiling (sp?). The fan doesn't come on, even when it reachs 120*C. We replaced what we thought was the fan sensor, the sensor under plug #7, and hooked it up into the stock wiring. We also found a place for all the other wires and vacuum lines, except for the ones that go to the old carb and emissions. My question is, is there any other sensor that turns the fan on that we forgot? I am thinking about putting a manual switch in, but I would like to keep it how its suppose to be. I know if I search for this I would find it, but search is down, so any help is much apprcieated.

Is this a dual fan set-up?

On a dual fan set-up, the computer turns on the primary fan based on coolant temp sensed from a sensor on the front of the intake.

The secondary fan uses the swtch you mentioned near #7. That switch doesn't activate until the eng is basically overheated (like 235 deg F or so). The secondary fan also gets turned on when the a/c is turned on.

Both fans use relays. Have you checked the relays??

It is only a single fan set-up. I also made a mistake, the sensor was by number 6, not 7. I have not checked the relays, tried tracing the wire but it disappears somewhere in the firewall, and I lose it there.
