overheated now won't start help! alright guys so my car overheated bad last night and i let it cool down and i topped it off with water (it was all i had on the side of the road). then it started right up and i tried to get her home. but then after a bit it started to get hot again and so i pulled over and let her cool down and topped her of with some coolant i got at a nearby truck stop. but then the trans am wouldn't start. it would crank but not start. i even tried some starting fluid and nothing. any ideas on why? all advice is helpful |
Re: overheated now won't start help! Little more on the specs of the car. Year/Engine/Mods? Also, was it low on coolant, leaking coolant from somewhere? Did you check the condition of your oil and coolant? any peculiarities? |

Re: overheated now won't start help! Pull spark plugs and see if water runs out, possibly blown head gasket, warped head. |
