Any Chemist in the HOUSE? diammonium phosphate question Can this stuff be used to clean out rust/scale in cooling system? Seems to be the active ingredient in Thermocure. |
Re: Any Chemist in the HOUSE? diammonium phosphate question Anyone have any idea? Sure, you can buy the Thermocure, but if this stuff used to make beer can be used, then you can do the entire neighborhood for the same price! |
Re: Any Chemist in the HOUSE? diammonium phosphate question Well that product is suppose to work and does have that chemical in it lol problem is it also seems tohave water and something else in it. Im sure all of that together in the right mix does what it’s supposed to do. Just that chemical by itself which is a fertilizer, may not work. |
Re: Any Chemist in the HOUSE? diammonium phosphate question Been doing some research on this, seeing guys using Vinegar and other solutions. Mercedes Benz actually sells Citric Acid powder as a radiator flush. https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_In...9-10-25-11-MBZ. Mercedes R107 W108 W110 GENUINE Radiator Flush Citric Acid Crystals 0.5 KG Finding several sources of people using citric acid as a way to flush. You can get a pound of the stuff on amazon for 8 bucks and flush every car in the family This guy documents his experience with citric acid. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...ksvZ7_Rnu5fEEs |
Re: Any Chemist in the HOUSE? diammonium phosphate question Since your cooling system isn't all that different than a hydronic heating boiler, consider these: https://marcepinc.com/blog/7-steps-t...al-power-plant https://www.supplyhouse.com/Hercules...System-Cleaner https://www.supplyhouse.com/Adey-CH1...leaner-16-8-oz https://www.supplyhouse.com/Green-Go...Descaler-1-Gal Back in the day, a radiator repair shop told me their trick: Lestoil to clean, followed by baking soda to neutralize. |
