Off-Topic, but neccessary. About ALDL cable and pont. sunbird.

I got a temporary car. A 1989 Pontiac Sunbird. It's starting to give me trouble..and I'm assuming it's the battery and cold weather. But, I need to be sure because the more money that goes into this car, the less I can put into my camaro(this is why it's neccessary).

my ALDL cable I got for my Camaro fits in the sunbird..but I'm not sure how to use it for the sunbird.

Can anyone please enlighten me?

I tried plugging it in..and I would open the program(I think TunerRS or something..)..but I wasn't sure where to go from there.

I appreciate any comments or help.

Sorry this is off-topic..and if it's in the wrong board.

Thanks again.
