blinker probs

I know someone posted about this before, but this is just a little weird.

totally at random, my passenger blinker lights seem to get weird. when the problem occurs, if the ignition is off, and the headlights are on, the right blinker light on the dash stays on, except if i actually put the right signal on(then the indicator turns off). if the ignition is on and the headlights are off, the right signal light comes on and stays on when i use the right signal, and then off when i turn it off. When i do that, the rear right signal light comes on and stays on, and the front right side marker comes on and stays on, but the front right blinker doesnt come on at all. When i turn the headlights on, the right signal light comes on on the dash all the time, and the front right side marker light has a tiny bit of voltage. The front right parking light is on, but when i use the signal, the front right signal doesnt come on at all(even though the parking light works fine), the right side marker comes on and stays on, and the rear right blinker comes on and stays on. This seems to happen totally at random. All the bulbs are good, and i can't seem to figure out where there might be a short. The only bulb i didnt check was the front blinker bulb(which never came on). It doesnt even come on when i use the hazards, although the sidemarker and the rear blinker both blink(different wire possibly?). The only things i can think of are the water that leaks in through the window and down the front of the dash, the water that leaks in through the rear hatch(my hatch motor went a couple of weeks ago and i just ripped it out and pulled it down, except now i cant get it down far enough to stop leaking without not being able to close it at all), or some just a bad bulb causing some kind of trouble somewhere along the line. Has anyone had any similar problem at all? this is driving me nuts!!!

Jim, either the front turn signal bulb is bad, or the ground wire (black) to the front turn signal bulb is not grounded - or has an intermittent ground.

Thanks man. I really hope it's that simple because the diagnostics guy I was gonna go to charges a buttload.

btw, any advice on getting at the front right blinker lens? does it just pop off or do i have to get at it from behind?
thanks again
