New to wiring

I've never wired up a whole sbc before. So am I forgetting or screwing anything up? 87 v6 -> v8

12v to dist, starter solenoid, carb choke, fuel pump
ignition to starter solenoid
and grounding anything with a negative terminal

Well it would help if you told us what engine it is and are you even going to run gauges or not?

Okay off the top of my head without looking at what you said for reference.
Battery to starter,alt.
Temp sensor, oil sensor, alt gauge, anything electric on carb.
Ignition.
Ground batt, ground block.

ITs a 350, 0010 casting #

Guages arnt important right now, I just wanna see if it runs its a junkyard dog, no rad or anything yet.

Edit: Great, got the dist and fuel relay no problem, and Ill have to play with the ignition (pink) wire because there are 2 terminals for it on the starter. However theres no link from the battery -> everything electrical. The battery just has one wire for engine ground and one wire for starter. Where should I splice a pos wire to, from the battery?

Edit2: Or does the 3 red + wires in the ignition harness and 1 + frmo the battery go to the starter?

Re: New to wiring

Well I got the starter able to be jumped with a screw driver, but no acc or ignition :-\

Edit: Well I got all acc. power working, but no power to the starter when I turn the key. I'll have to investigate under the dash, maybe theres something rigged up (There is an aftermarket alarm installed, plus a little toggle switch under the steering collum) perhaps it could be a burnt ignition fuse or neutral safety switch. Didnt test fuel or anything either.
