Identification of Harness End

2 Attachment(s)
Hello, I just finished my quicksilver install, getting all of my wires cleaned up in the car after swapping everything from the 88 to the 85 so that I can go register it and need help identifying this one harness plug end. I took a picture of the end that slides or plugs into something and a picture showing the colors of the wires. They are Orange, White, Off-White/Tan, and Black. Wires are approx 14-12 ga. wire.

Thanks ahead of time!!! :)

Re: Identification of Harness End

If it helps, the plug end says "PACK-CONN" on it.

Where is this located?

Do your turn signals work?

I can't get out to the shop right now but will drive out there first thing in the morning to double check the turn signals, pretty sure they work. This harness connection is on the driver side, under dash, right next to the power distribution block the different wires plug into.

I 'think' Ive seen this same plug on my car, and it plugs into another connector hanging off of a wire, but the connector looks totally different than what you would expect, its hard to explain, just look for another missing connection.

bradley2150, I looked for a connection, I do not see one under there, and no, for some reason my turn signals are not working but my emergency flashers do.

that looks like aftermarket.
gm uses a propriatary plug/s and when i have to hack into them i cant just get the same plug to fit, i have to make up a harness connection.

i appreciate the reply's guys, I really do. I took it out for a full test run tonight with insurance and registration on it, first time in 7 years, it was unbelievable, you know like that first time driving a camaro. I had an adrenaline rush and was shaking just a bit. I really like the Transgo full-manual kit w/ quicksilver shifter, exhaust through the powerstick. Just need to get all the bugs worked out now :burnout:

Ok, grabbed the camera and took some hi def pics so that it is clearer as to what I am talking about, could also use some help with a couple other wires. This car has no stereo, no AC, no Heat, no smog, just the lights, gauges, MAF, engine sensors and ECM. Car must have VATs bypassed because the old columns ignition would start car without a key in it, so I kept the column from an '85 and its key which has no chip and the '88s ECM doesnt fuss at all, car starts right up.
