Im not sure exactly how to remedy the issue, but I can tell you a few problems I see

For stock 90-92 TPI's the VSS was wired directly to the ECM, then the ECM sent a signal to the speedo

Try moving it back that way with the box in the signal side of the VSS wiring

Re: please help t56swap dakodigi wiring

Here is what Dakota just told me. I am in the process right now.

First, where did you pick up your switching hot lead on the fuse box?
12v power
Body ground to grd.
T56 VSS (1) lead to input on digi
T56 VSS (2) lead attach to one lead from old ECM input plug and both go into ground on Digi
Ouput (#1) from digi to other lead on ECM input plug.

Now you have to adjust the coarse/fine red/green blinking according to their instructions to come up with COARSE (3) BLINKS AND FINE (1) BLINK. That is supposed to give you the proper setting so that you can us the up/down button to bring it in exactly using gps or following car.

I was just in the process of trying to find a power lead that went on off with key.

I am assuming your fused power is on all the time? I'm trying to get a key regulated on/off, I may use the power window as it is close to my digi.

I agree, I had to read the instructions many times and had I not called Dakota I still would not understand the coarse/fine from the instructions.

Anyway, the key on/off makes it easier to calibrate othewise you have to disconnect power to digi on and off.
