Unknown blue wire

1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone. Attached is a pic of a blue wire that lost it's connector, and I cannot figure out where it was connected. I have every other wire connected to the proper sensor, but can't figure this one out. Thanks for any help. It's a 84 Trans Am CCqjet automatic.

I don't have access here at home to wiring diagrams for the 84. The book for my 87 shows a dk blu wire to the knock sensor. Another possibility is the fan temp switch.

I currently have a green one going to the knock sensor. The fan temp switch is on the t-stat housing right? That one has it's wire connected too.

That would be the coolant temperature sensor (yellow and black wire). The fan switch is threaded in the passenger side head between the center and rear exhaust ports.

The only light blue (ecm) wire I see is for the mixture control solenoid (on the carb). It should be joined with a pink/blavk wire.

Could be to A/C, blower motor, one of the turn signals (though it looks to heavy a gauge for that) or, it was added in by someone.

Thanks for the help. Now that I think about it, it may be for the knock sensor. Gonna have to check out some of the other sensors.

Green wire should go to fan switch in pass side head. Usually blue is knock sensor.

Does the car have AC? Just remembered seeing light blue to the high pressure switch in the back of the AC compressor.

Thanks for the help guys, It does go to the knock sensor, I put the knock sensor in the spot where the fan switch goes  Been a few years since I worked on this project, now it's time to buy a fan switch.
