building motor for 91 z28

i have a stock 10054727 350 sbc im interested in some other view points im thinking of keeping the bottom end stock just going with forge parts and a slightily over stock cam and going to a roller cam too not sure how to find the specs for the cam i took out of it, the heads are 193 swirly heads which i know have no flow not sure which heads to go with. my camaro has a L03 305 TBI in now(yeah someone before i got it changed the RS labels to Z28 which is OK not fond of TPI anyway) i have spare TBI for a 350 maybe get bigger injectors for if there not already bigger than whats on the car now. im about to finish tearing it down tomorrow to have the block cleaned soon any ideas?

What are your power goals. If you want to get forged parts then you can handle some serious power. I dont think that is what your looking for, cast cranks are good up to 600+ hp. A very good one is the scat 9000 series. A realistic goal is 400-450 hp. That would be a mild cam and some good heads, and still a streetable motors. It all depends on your budget as well.

yeah i just got done tearing the engine down lower end is left its 2 bolt so cast is a better idea. 350 to 400 is what i am looking for. what would be some good heads to use? i am looking at a comp cam roller retrofit 212\218 0.4870\.495

I'd go with a slightly bigger cam, would make achieving 400 horse easier with cheaper heads.

Get 062 or 906 Vortec heads. Don't bother with the older crap. If you intend to stay TBI, there are Vortec adapted TBI manifolds available.
