Poor brake lines??? Now I have herd that "BREAKING" in an engine it gets really hot and I'm a little worried about my brake lines since the poor things are next to right on top of the headers, Should I be worried about the poor lines or can they handle the heat?? Thanks in advance! -Shaun |
What do you mean breaking in an engine? Like the first 500-1000 mi. on a new engine, breaking in headers, what? Give us some more info. |
When the engine is started for the first time after being totaly rebuilt and kept at high rpm's for fifteen minutes, The brake lines are really close and touching the headers, is it gonna hurt them and for that matter just normal driveing is the heat gonna hurt it? |
If they're touching the headers, there could be some problems (like melted brake lines). You want to keep them as far away from the headers as possible, so just bend them as far out of the way as you can. As for the second question, yes they could be bothered just by daily driving. |
