pros and cons of various headers OK, I need to buy a complete exhaust to replace the factory crap. I recently had a 350 built to replace the 305 (RIP). I got the PN for the flowmaster catback i was looking for, jeg's 17234. The only thing I'm concerned about is the 2.5" cat attachment. I should be able to cut that back to the 3" section, right? Now the headers. What I'm looking for is the easiest fit, with no AIR tubes (if possible) and a 3" collector. Price is also a major concern (sorry guys, no SLP's). Any suggestions? ------------------ DG 1984 Z28 LG4/A4 Mods: are you kidding? They cost money. Powered by Eclipse, Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio, and MB Quart. |

If you dont want SLP's, then anything but Edelbrock. https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/smile.gif Look at Hooker, Hedman, Dynomax, etc. ------------------ West Coast GM Shootout 2001! 1991 Camaro Z28 5.7L 5-Speed (originally 305) 13.25 @ 107.18 MPH Southern California Member: SoCal 3rd Gen F-Bodies Webmaster: SoCal F-Bodies -=ICON Motorsports=- |
It's not that I don't want SLP's, just can't afford them. https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/biggrin.gif I'm just looking for the easiest fitting set as I will be putting them on myself. I've heard that the Edelbrock's are the best for this, what do you think? All things being equal, I would probably go with Hooker (constant pipe diameter from each cylinder), how do they fit?
