popular long tubes for 3rd gens?????HELP!!!

Hi,after a recent motor swap I come to realize my summit down pipe I had setup with my old vortec 305 no longer fits with my 79 350 in the car.Im looking to setup duals with long tubes, what are some popular long tubes that will have little to no clearance issues and what are some to stay away from? thanks

It's my understanding that all longtube headers require some modification or bullshit to fit.

Wow I bet that vortec 305 was faster than a 1979 anything... And I'm really confused about why the setup you had wont fit. SBC's are externally identical for the most part, at least as far as exhaust port location is concerned.

None that I know of fit in painlessly. But none of the big name brand ones are bad. Hedman and Hooker are probably the most popular. The ground clearance with duals is going to be a nightmare, though. I'd suggest you go a different route. But if you want to have that low compression 70's chevy + glasspacks pulpwood truck sound (kind of unavoidable as you wont have the ground clearance for a real muffler) then you're in luck. Loud n slow!
