rear seat delete

has anyone done a rear seat delete where they ectually fabricated something to raise the floor ? maybe make some room for mufflers and do side exit exhaust through the rocker? and also make a corvette style waterfall into the center console? and some storage compartments behind the front seats or room for stereo equipment?
just an idea i had.

Have you ever taken your rear seat out? all thats behind it is clean carpet and 2 brackets that come up out of the floor. I took my back seat out and just painted the brackets black to match my interior. Looks ok to me, not nearly the hack job look i was afraid of.

yeah, i've got my seats out right now, infact i have the whole interior out so i can patxh the rust in the floor and was thinking about making the floor much simpler and maybe even make more room to accomodate a true dual exhaust

lol i always remove the back seats out of all the cars i buy or drag to here

lol

i plan on not putting them back into the 82 t/a and instead putting some carpet on the back wall and floor there, make it smooth and neat

the seats are worn dirty junk anyways

too bad though because it is a dark blue cloth PMD interior car

sniff

cant do anything about it though

ppl didnt take care of it over the years,,

why spend $ on seats ill never need/use when it could be spent on something i can use

good luck

I posted on the interior board under the same question.

I used plywood and carpet to span the armrests ib back with carpet covered vertical panels to fill in below. The rear seat is actually still under there but could be removed.
