88 TransAm Hey guys, I work at Hurricane Chevrolet in Hurricane WV.. We took a 88 model Trans Am in on trade the other day.. I bought it as a prodject car but when I told my wife about it she axed the idea real quick.. so I gotta sell it.. I bought it for 100 bucks.. thats what I am selling it for.. Its red with silver ground effects.. from what I can tell the exterior only needs a front bumper cover and spoiler.. all the front lights are in tacked and the bumper itself is good.. just a chunk of plastic is ripped off.. the spoiler is pretty rotted out since its rubber.. drivers window motor isnt working, the rear hatch motor works well.. I really havent spent alot of time checking it over since its a 100 dollar car and I cant do anything with it.. however the body is pretty dang straight on it.. hood is in great shape minus the faded paint.. the old girl has just been sitting for a while and needs someone to show her some love.. I will have some pics for you tomorrow after I get off work.. however, anyone who has been around these cars like I have know they could make a killing if they want to part it out, or you can restore it and have a pretty dang good starting point.. its a 305 TBI, auto.. the alternator is bad so for it to run I have to keep our battery booster hooked up.. I gave it gas in both drive and reverse, it spun the tires with ease in both gears.. with an alternator you could drive it home, I wont be buying one for it so if you want it just head up to: 200 Saturn Way Hurricane WV 25526 The number there is 304-562-3005 My name is Scott Rooper, I have been a member on this site for years, but havent been around for quite a while since I bought my 00 Trans Am My cell phone number is 304-412-4082 |

David is supposed to pick it up tomorrow, but still havent verified with him yet.. Joe was second to contact me.. I am not parting anything out on the car.. It would be a dream come true for me to keep it.. but im married and answer to the powers that be.. I am keeping track of names and such so for now I have plenty of people standing in line that I am sure it will be sold to one of you guys.. Dave first, then Joe, and so on and so on.. hey Scott if they dont take it me and lisa will do you remember me i got the rims off you i have altronator in hand and cash so if no one takes before me takes it we will let me know as soon as possible if its already sold or not so i can plan the trip and hell i already have the bumper for it lol hell if it wasnt 10pm today and have to work tommarro id be on my way already |
