1984 Pontiac Trans Am $1200 Engine smoking. 3 Attachment(s) 1984 Pontiac Trans Am. 305 V8 engine is smoking, needs rebuilt or replaced. I have the original Florida title showing when it was bought brand new in Gainesville, Florida back on 3/02/1984. Car had been sitting for a few years, just had got it back to running and driving. All lights work, wipers are new, and the tires only have 150 miles on them. Factory jack and spare still in the trunk. Car has manual windows, locks, mirrors and seats. Grey cloth interior is nice except for usual wear on drivers seat bolsters. Factory AM/FM stereo (no cassette) works, but only one speaker comes on. Car has four wheel disc brakes. Body is in pretty good shape to be all original and 29 years old. Just add your small block Chevy engine and you would have a nice start for a restoration or hot rod. May consider other cars, trucks, or vans in running and driving condition $1200 or best cash offer. hotrodfc@yahoo.com (404)-219-9319 Call or Text Frank |

Re: 1984 Pontiac Trans Am Project New Tires, Needs Engine Work Would even trade this car even up for a running and driving car, truck, or even van that I could use to get to work and back with. |
Re: 1984 Pontiac Trans Am $1200 Engine smoking. Smoking issue just looks like a valve seal job, no big deal. Sounds and looks like it runs good. Good Luck w/ sale. |
Re: 1984 Pontiac Trans Am $1200 Engine smoking. Car still runs and drives (videos were taken this week 06/26/2013). Smokes when throttle is applied. May have a cracked or worn piston ring. Haven't driven it since it started, other than around my neighborhood to film the videos. I can't believe the lack of interest in it. |
Re: 1984 Pontiac Trans Am $1200 Engine smoking. Hang in there, price is right for a mild project car. Usually takes a bit to find the right person looking for that year/model etc ... |
