1984 Pontiac Trans Am $2000 OBO

4 Attachment(s)
For sale: 1984 Trans Am
The Good:
305 HO engine, 700R4 auto. trans, power steering, power brakes, A/C (not hooked up), cruise control, tilt wheel, T-Tops, power windows, power door locks, UMI sub frame connectors, MSD 6AL ignition, rebuilt Q-jet carb, 3:73 Non-posi disc brake rear. Walker 17494 exhaust, BF Goodrich Traction TA P215/65/R15 tires on 1984 Z28 Rims (less than 200 miles on them). New fuel pump. Car runs and drives well.

The Bad:
Rust. The car has/had rust in the usual 3rd gen. places, and I have tried to patch it. Floor pans, firewall (where hood cable goes through). Rocker panels (pass.side has been patched with a replacement, I have one for the driver's side not yet installed. Doors are rotted. (Have replacements) T-top bar rotted (Have replacement).

Interior: Dash pad cracked ( Have Non-cracked replacement out of '84 T/A). Interior is out of car right now, but have almost everything to put back in, except, headliner, sun visors, rear cargo cover. These were all missing when I bought car. Leaks. I believe water is leaking from the rear hatch bolts where it is bolted to the body.

Engine: I believe the engine might need valve seals. If the car sits for a few weeks without being started, it will smoke as it is warming up. The smoke goes away after it gets warmed up.

The Ugly:
Aside from the rust, the clear coat has peeled off in droves. One reason I bought car 6 years ago, is that it looked sharp. Shortly after I got it, the clear coat started peeling. (Cheap paint job? I really don't know).

I am selling the Trans Am because ongoing back/spine issues have made it difficult to work on as well a get in and out of it. It is not perfect, but I don't think it is ready for the boneyard either. The price is negotiable, and the buyer can pick and choose what parts they want with car, and we will price accordingly. $1700 is for everything I have. Car and all parts. Contact me here or call Dan @ 845-855-one541 after 5:30pm leave a message and I will call you back.
