1989 Formula 350 project I bought this as a non running project from a local guy a few years back. I have receipts for virtually everything. The guy I bought it from had it from 60k miles to 130k miles. That is where the odometer sits now. He blew the engine up and built it but never got the car on the road. I got the car running. New fuel tank, pump, regulator and injectors. Here are the details. 350 bored 0.030" over ( 355 ) Federal Mogul Summit Racing Premium engine kit B&M Summit shift kit Comp Cams roller rockers magnum steel B&M Holeshot 2400rpm converter BBK 58mm throttle body AFR aluminum heads Lakewood traction action lift bar lower control arms subframe connectors Accel Ignition Control module MSD blaster coil B&M shifter Comp Cams 104224 New radiator New carpet set driver & passenger door weatherstrip (in boxes) new Bosch injectors new fuel tank and pump new 3" summit cat back exhaust (not installed) http://i44.tinypic.com/w1phzm.jpg http://i40.tinypic.com/5f2g6h.jpg Red in color, grey interior, the paint is TRASHED but there is ZERO rust. As is the rear spoiler. Let me repeat ZERO rust. The sheetmetal shields over the gas tank are still there an came off with a 1/4" ratchet when I did the tank. It's NOT a northern car. No smoke wrench required. I have NOT had the car on the road, between life and other pursuits the car just sits for weeks on end before I can tinker with it. I have decided I would rather the room in the my garage. I hate to part out the car. It's simply too solid. I also have a set of WS6 rims with centers but they are in below average shape. I am firm at $2500. The heads alone are $1700 new at Summit. Not really looking to trade. View My Video Car is located in Lawrenceville GA, 30043. |
Re: 1989 Formula 350 project is the car in drivable condition |
Re: 1989 Formula 350 project The exhaust is not hooked up, the fans don't come on and I have no idea on the trans. Have not tried to drive it yet. Have been fiddling with the fans (i was gonna try the trans once they work) but found another car I'd rather have. |
Re: 1989 Formula 350 project well I live in swfl, is there anyway you can post more pics or like a walkaround video? If I make a weekend trip to take a look at the car, I would like to make sure it will be a worthwhile one. appreciate your help. |
Re: 1989 Formula 350 project @shane, I have another member from this board coming to look at it tomorrow. If he doesn't buy it I will take a video and such for you. I do need to get pics of the suspension stuff too. If he doesn't buy it maybe he'll comment on it here. I am going to be upfront though. I will not take one penny less than $2500. I will keep it and continue to tinker on it for less than that. |
Re: 1989 Formula 350 project Here are 2 videos of the car. |
Re: 1989 Formula 350 project I am back from visiting family in Ohio. The car is still available. I MIGHT part out the car if someone really wants the chassis. If you want the rolling chassis I will keep the engine and trans. Chassis for $1500. |

Re: 1989 Formula 350 project Well the car has moved onto it's new owner. It actually drove onto the trailer also. |
Re: 1989 Formula 350 project That is very cool, hope it gets restored to its former glory. |
