Re: Restored LS1/6spd `85 Trans Am: COTM winner I'm getting old and blind, so forgive me if I just can't read...but here's a few things I think a potential buyer will want to know. 1 - Engine specs (stock ls1s don't make that kind of power) 2 - Mileage on Body 3 - Work done on the rear axel to support the power (gear ratio, open or closed carrier) 4 - A/C or not ...big deal for us southern boys 5 - Paint work.. were quarters, fenders, skirts removed. there are 3k jobs and 15k paint jobs... any photos before during and after.. does look like the engine bay was painted(yes) 6 - Photos of underside of car? 7 - Fuel pump, sender and lines replaced? need more than stock to keep up with that HP 8 - Brake work I've restored and modded many cars and the devil and cost are in the details. Anyway, yes I'm interested. For this kind of price, the details make the difference. Thanks and a beautiful car... Robby |

Robby I`ll respond to number 4 first, since that is likely a deal breaker in your case, and just give very brief descriptions on the rest. I can get you all the detail if 4 isnt a deal breaker. 4. No A/C. This was built with short trips on nice days with the t-tops out, and maybe a few runs down the track. 1. Cam is very not stock, heads are reworked with higher compression, full exhaust. 2. From memory, it was like 80,000. Body is very solid, drivetrain completely replaced. 3. A "built" australian 9 bolt. 5. Fenders, hood, doors, bumpers removed. Engine bay was painted. Lots of before/after pics on my restoration thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/hist...-trans-am.html 6. I can get them if you are still interested. 7. Definitely not a stock fuel system, believe everything from tank to injectors were replaced. 8. 1LE |

Re: Restored LS1/6spd `85 Trans Am: COTM winner I'm shocked it is still available, I was interested a while back but you were actually "holding it" for another buyer that you thought would come thru... people suck throw a fiberglass spoiler on and paint it red, that is the one thing I would have changed.. Good luck man beautiful car |
Re: Restored LS1/6spd `85 Trans Am: COTM winner Thanks Mark. Yeah, I am debating putting on the fiberglass spoiler. |
