87 Trans Am Decals - Gold and Silver?

I'm looking to repaint my 87 Trans Am and add back the original decals.

I think I'm missing a few (like the nose and rear) and not sure if the decals currently on the car are correct.

Can someone tell me what I should have, where and what colour everything should be.

I've looked at ebay and year one and somehow I think the decals are not correct. That is to say no one offers the colour combination I have.

Here is what is on the car:

Hood - Gold screeming chicken (large)
Fenders - Silver "Trans Am"
gfx - Grey/black "5.0 Liter"
Sail Panels and Rear - Silver Screeming chicked (small)

There are no "Trans Am" decals on the front or rear.

Also, is the gold hood decal the correct colour or should it also be silver?

How can I tell what the colour combination should be?

Thanks

Do you have RPO code DX1 on your SPID sheet? DX1 is the RPO code for the large hood bird. If you do not have DX1, then that large hood bird was installed afterwards.

If you do have RPO code DX1, then it is my belief you should not have the smaller bird that's normally seen on the front bumper. This is because factory photos show that both weren't installed - one or the other.

I believe you're missing the Trans Am script on the right side of the rear bumper as well as the left side of the front bumper.

By the way, is this a LG4, L03 or LB9 engine? It depends as to if the 5.0 badge is correct or not, as there is a 5.0 Liter F.I badge as well.

It's an LG4 motor.

I figured I was missing front and rear Tran Am decals.

No RPO DX1 on the SPID in the centre console. If I did want to put a "colour correct" big bird on the hood (cause it looks so damn 80's cool ), what colour should it be?

Phoenix Graphics should have the complete set you need. I see they have multiple sets for the 87 Trans Am. You might need to request the correct badging due to engine. They have 5.0 Liter HO, 5.0 Liter F.I., and 5.7 Liter F.I. Not sure is there was anything on the LG4 cars. I'm not a Trans Am specialist.

According to this bulletin from Pontiac written in 1987, thanks to GTASourcepage, the stickers should be silver. I assume that applies for the large hood bird:
