I know the 350 and T-Top is a rare special order deal. whats the chances of finding a GTA with T-Tops, 350, & digital dash.

Re: 1987-89 GTA Q

1989 - The digital dash was no longer available while the 350 and T-Top combo, from the factory, was available.

1988 - The 350 and T-Top, from the factory, was not available. The only way to get the 350 and T-Tops was through aftermarket by converting a hardtop into a T-Top. C&C was a company that did some conversions. So you might see all 3 in 1988 but it wouldn't be factory.

1987 - You could get the 350 and T-Top, from the factory, if the car was exported (such as Canada). The digital dash was available in 1987.

So 1987 was about the only year you'd see all 3 options from the factory - as long as it was a Z49 Canadian export.

I had a friend with a 1989 GTA with CC1 and L98 on the SPID. No digital dash though.. It was a Z49 Canadian car. (The black one -> http://www.mts.net/~jwt/me-jay.jpg )

My red L98 1990 GTA has T-tops but no CC1.. They were installed aftermarket. Whoever did it did a great job. I can park by a CC1 car and you can't see any difference from the factory job...

Re: 1987-89 GTA Q

Jim, it wasn't uncommon to find a 1989 GTA with both a factory 350 and factory T-Tops without it being a Canadian export as it was an option from the factory in 1989 without having to be an export. It appeared to be popular. This wasn't allowed in 1988 or 1987 without it being a Canadian export (1987). The belief is it had to do with CAFE standards. After 1989, that combo wasn't available (again) unless you got a 1991-1992 Formula and even then you needed to get the PW7 wheel option on the Formula to allow that combination.
