SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal SCORE!!! HAHA! I just bought the last 2 from this auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400589499548 I can tell they are 100% legit original for several reason since not only do I have a set on my car, but I also had a set on that EXACT paper backing. I wanted to make this post so people know what real originals look like on original backing from SLP so they don't get ripped off in the future. Rather than posting the pic from the auction to the thread, I'll take my own detailed pics when I receive them and update the thread then. Anyway, I really wanted these as spares as I regretted selling my last spare set. Plus I'm at a cross roads with either repairing my passenger door which is original to my car, or replacing it in which case I would need these decals. I still have 1 spare SLP Performance Package decal that goes on the upper radiator brace thankfully! Anyone here score the others from this auction? Now I just need to find another set of Tri-Y headers since my last ones bit the dust when my car ran into a rock slide on a mountain road a few years ago :( I'm hoping to find a dual cat y-pipe set so I can upgrade my GTA to the N10 dual cat setup. I kept all of the original bolts, fiberglass spark plug wires sleeves, etc. so I basically have the full SLP install kit for them. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal I will look forward to seeing these pics, I don't have a decal, and been thinking of having one made. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal This listing is for one ORIGINAL SLP California CARB decal for SLP Headers 30017 - 1995-1997 SLP Camaro LT1 Headers. Did you see that these were for 95-97?? Nice find though! Whoops... my bad. He has them too. Move along....... |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal congrats on the find! Funny thing you mention about decals, my uncle's convertible GTA has a dealer installed slp cold air induction package. Since it was installed, there's also a silver/mirror imaging decal stating the installed items that was punched out. Too bad the original owner didn't get all the upgrades installed! Would of been a real treat to have those rare added goodies on a GTA convert. Also you mention on the slp tri-y headers. Those are very hard to come by. I've been personally searching for those for a while now and rarely do i see them come up and if they do, they want a pretty penny for it. A buddy of mine is selling his SLP TOTL exhaust system, if your interested. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal Thanks, my 2OTL SLP catback is still mint thankfully, the accident didn't hurt it. I had some extra of those performance package decals (2) once upon a time. I sold them after making reproductions locally, perfect reproductions. This was like 12yr ago. So my car has it's original, the spare I have is one of the reproductions. I sold the originals for a pretty penny when I needed money way back in the day. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal thanks |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal HA, wow great to know. I never ended up installing them but when I had my car painted 2 years ago I ripped off the original decals from SLP after buying those on eBay. Damn that sucks!!!!! |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal Yes they were discontinued. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal Who's they? You mean on eBay? I was told by Kevin Woodruff at SLP back in 2000 that I got the last decal SLP had, they came off his desk personally. So I know it was right for my 92 as he said so. Just need to find a replacement now, I thought that auction was :/ |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal the california enviromental protection agency database gives for that exective order numbers. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal I have a full set of the door decals and the underhood metallic decal as well. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal Dave is still selling them on E-bay. I'm fairly sure he has a warehouse full of stuff still. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal Well I looked at the pictures I took back in 2001 of the original set I had from SLP that were on my door, they for sure say D-187-2 clear as day on them, so thru '88 just like the ones I bought in that auction. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.thi...888d5fccc6.jpg I wonder now if SLP ever had a CARB EO # for 89-92 Tri-Y headers? |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal thanks |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal I'm 99% sure that applies to the SLP shorty headers. |

Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal OD on them were 1 5/8s or 1 3/4. |
Re: SLP Tri-Y C.A.R.B. decal Problem is the Tri-Ys and the shortys I believe shared tube sizes if I'm not mistaken. |
