How rare is my GTA? Anyone else have one?

Anyone have a GTA built like mine? I know there were 164 5 speeds in 91, but no idea how many were built like this. Just curious as I’ve never been able to find another and would love to see one. I’ve added pics of the RPO codes from compnine. If you have pics of one, please post!

Nice car but aside from the LB9 / 5 speed / T top combo it is just like other Canadian GTA's of the same year. Not much else out of the ordinary. What is the condition of the car?

Where are you getting the 164 number from?

I'm seeing 967 LB9 GTA's in 1991, 909 of them with T-tops.

Even if you add in the Z49 export code you're still at 251.

Not sure where your error is but not only does GTASourcepage show 164 - 1991 GTAs with the 5-speed:
http://www.gtasourcepage.com/91RPOFigures.html

But so does Compnine as long as you exclude Canadian figures.

GTASourcepage's figures, as far as RPOs, exclude Canada/export.

Another member ran my Vin through Compnine but with what I assume is the premium membership? Either way it broke it down as 1 of 5 made identical to mine. Most Canadian 91’s are fairly simillar but the 5 speed on Green is where the rarity is. I’m not trying to see if I’m sitting on $1mil, more so just like knowing that especially after 27 years, I likely won’t see another car like mine.

You’re also the one who ran the Vin for my car 😉 I had posted this before I asked you

If you run any VIN through Compnine, it'll say it's one of five. Think the highest number I've ever seen them report is under 20.

When you get right down to it, thirdgens don't especially qualify as rare. It's not like they changed the body style yearly like some classic muscle cars. It's not like no one ever thought these cars would be collectible some day. If anything it's the opposite. There are oodles and scads of thirdgens that have been stored, preserved, and tucked away for a rainy day.

The point is it's better to just refrain from saying a thirdgen is rare. What's rare is a nice thirdgen, in nice shape. Any car with the majority of performance options, in exceptional condition, is an unusual thirdgen, there's no need to church it up by using buzz words associated with Hemi Cudas and Daytona Chargers.

I totally understand that. Like I said, this isn’t something I’m looking in to for resale value or anything. My car holds a ton of sentimental value to me and will never leave my ownership, I just like knowing facts and the more I have to talk about with people in regards to these cars, the better!

My 92 is one of 2 on compnine.

But yeah, they made so many of these things they will never be as rare or valuable as many other muscle car era cars
