Help finding an 1988 305 serpentine label Hello all, Thank you for your help, I hope I'm posting this in the right area. I did a search for serpentine labels and couldn't find anything. I'm the new owner of the 29,000 original mile 1988 IROC with the 305. I'm trying to replace everything that is missing, one of those things looks like the serpentine routing label. I'm replacing the belt right now and discovered it was not there. I looked online and so far have not found a good source for parts such as this. I just sold my first gen Camaro and I must say I can find just about anything for that car. All of that being said if anyone out there knows where to find one of these labels or just a good source for parts let me know. Thanks again everyone |

Re: Help finding an 1988 305 serpentine label Retrofit engine service tag. I reached out to them we will see what they have to say. Looks like there's another one that's blue and white on the air intake as well from what I can see from photos of other cars online. thanks for the source on that |

Most of the stuff like what you're talking about is going to be NOS instead of reproductions. Usually you'll have to find a good clean picture and have the decal custom made. |
Re: Help finding an 1988 305 serpentine label Fantastic!! You all rock! I will post up some pictures soon. thanks again |
Re: Help finding an 1988 305 serpentine label Fantastic!! great idea looking around for the NOS parts thank you again everyone for the help and I will post up some pics here soon |
Re: Help finding an 1988 305 serpentine label You'll probably want to verify that a part is the correct one for your car before ordering. Classic Industries (just as an example) lists that decal for 88-90. Somewhere in the back of my mind, is a little factoid that some years of serpentine setups had a slightly different routing. You might want to compare the Classic Industries decal to an original car, or check to see if it matches the routing of your existing belt. Often the restoration shops will have the wrong applications, or they don't know about tiny variations. |
Re: Help finding an 1988 305 serpentine label Classic Industries states that the decal is arriving soon so that may be a representative picture of the label. hopefully they have what I need otherwise I will just keep looking..... and learning about what more I need to add.... |
