I have a history with this car. The best friend was selling this car for the widow and wanted it to go to a good home. I assured him it would if I bought it. We agreed on a price. I didn't want to get too pushy, considering the circumstances and gave him a little space. After not hearing from him for a few days, I texted him. He said the widow decided to sell it to an "IROC collector" for exactly the price we agreed to. I asked him if this "IROC collector" is so and so from so and so? He said YES, how'd you know?

I told him this IROC collector, no longer collects IROCs and you'll see it on ebay soon. He was flabbergasted. Sure enough, it was on eBay days after. Now it's for sale again. Too bad. I don't see a price?

Some of the cars that come up in a search on that web site sold YEARS ago......dont be surprised if the ad was from back when you
were talking with the seller and the car sold long ago and not even for sale today.....did you see the reference to an ebay auction in the description......
and it's not on ebay

you are correct , i remember those cars .. they are long gone .. doing a google search is a bad way to look for these cars .. they will pull up cars from 5 years ago

Yep, that is my experience as well.....I agree Ray, those cars are LONG gone....Google search for these cars is a huge waste of time and effort for sure

That was the first time I used this site. I was so pumped to see so many for sale. I was like it’s L69 heaven! Now I find out it’s just a bunch of old ads :mad:

and the collector I sold it to, when trying to sell it, tried to say it was the first Bright Blue IROC Norwood built. don’t know where he got that info. Many built before mine. Thank God it didnt sell, because he was supposed to contact me if he ever sold it. Luckily I contacted him out of the blue. That was close.

Z28cop is right, his was certainly not the first ,my blue L69 was built before his. After speaking to Z28cop, he figured mine was built Dec. 24, 1984. After 13 years in my garage, she's done and on the road again!!!

the one thing i dont like about this car is it doesnt have the black body door moldings on it .. call me picky but i would have to put those back on it

I know what you mean.. It's pretty low optioned though, wondering they were on there from the factory or not. The SPID is not very clear in the pic. For the miles and asking price, they could have also spruced it up a bit. At least fresh center caps and visors. In general, the pics suck and none of the engine compartment or undercarriage.
