There's not much difference between the Z28 and 305 TBI RS convertible in 91-92. Both have the F41 suspension instead of FE2, so same springs, same sway bars, same wheels/tires. Both have the restrictive low output exhaust. Both have the same interior, assuming the RS has the custom interior. Both have the same spoiler. So really....

The only differences are -
  1. Hood Blisters
  2. Fog Lights/grille
  3. Badging
  4. Leather Steering Wheel, Shifter, Parking Brake Knobs.
  5. TPI
  6. $$$

Is it worth the premium for a cruiser? IDK, the things that make me want a Z28 over an RS aren't really that applicable to the late convertibles. But then I own an RS, so I'm biased.

that's true for me i would rather have the tpi motor but u r right is it really worth paying more probably not especially in a convertible.
