At the end of the day, it's worth what you are willing to pay for it. If it is as good as it appears in the pictures and was exactly what I was looking for I wouldn't have a problem paying what they are asking, I would offer less at first of course ;)

Not crazy, but maybe a little high.

At $12,000 it’s a steal and at $14,000 it’s a deal.

I thought it was maybe a little high too.....but I guess I really didnt have anything to compare it too. Man, I wish it was a Z28.....

It’s a great color combo!

I was thinking 15-20. Hard to say it is not worth that much with those miles. Probably the cleanest example like that left.

Re: Ok pros.....I'm interested in this car. What's it worth?

I think it would be hard to find a nicer one, of course, you could probably be driving a brand new KIA for the same money.

You can't buy a new car for 16k. It sure wouldn't be a sports car. But older cars take cash. Banks around here won't do loans on cars over 20. I still would like a tpi for my money

That's a nice one l would say it's worth it being a heritage edition with those miles and the shape it's in.

I would be thrilled with one with a 5 speed, tpi 305, t tops, and says IROC-Z on the door....

Or a TTA in the same price range...but those are few and far between

no way to tell from those pics, or any pics. gotta see it in person and verify miles are not fake

Re: Ok pros.....I'm interested in this car. What's it worth?

The hood gap would drive me crazy.

I'd say somewhere in the teens is fair; the asking price isn't far out of line and if you paid exactly what they're asking, you shouldn't feel bad. It's a super low mile survivor.

The problem is this car misses perhaps the most important thing. It has the condition, mileage, and the 25th anniversary heritage edition package. It's missing the Z28 performance to round out the car. But at least it has a V8 burble...

Yes, available either way. I ordered wheel paint delete on my 92 Z.

I sold this 1992 RS Z03 with 2950 miles for $15,500 and it was showroom new - a solid #1 car

The wheel color was optional - you could get the body color (white, red ) which was standard OR you could select grey as option (84P)

Re: Ok pros.....I'm interested in this car. What's it worth?

Not the most desirable engine or trim, but with such low mileage and apparently in pristine condition, I don't think $16,500 is out of line. You might get the owner down a little, but I can't them going below $15K. If this is a private party sale, I don't they'll be willing to give it away. An older car may only be worth a certain amount of money to the person that owns it and no one else, and in that case that may just hold on to it. I've been in that situation before, though with hi-mileage cars. I wanted to sell, but wasn't going to give away a car.

I love this color combination. It's odd how the rally stripes work for me on a Camaro, but I think they look bad on a Firebird.

These and all other louvers should be incinerated.

Maybe $12,000 - $16,000, depending on the car's service records; how it looks on the outside is just one part of a car's value.

With such low mileage, it may be just a whisker away from needing a lot of repair/maintenance work, something that wouldn't show up until you try to drive the car regularly---which obviously hasn't been that car's history (assuming the odometer hasn't been tweaked). The fuel and brake systems, just to name two, may need major work/$$$ before the car is reliable---unless you plan to never drive it.

Perform your due diligence before laying down the $$$.

Re: Ok pros.....I'm interested in this car. What's it worth?

IMO, that coolant recovery tank in the engine compartment pic does not match to a car with 4200 miles.
My 2950 mile RS recovery tank was almost snow white in color

Re: Ok pros.....I'm interested in this car. What's it worth?

What strikes me about these ultra-low mileage cars, is that when we see one, we think "oh surely there can't be many in that condition out there". But if anything the constant flow of these threads featuring these cars illustrates that MANY people bought a car like this and stored it away as an investment or as a future collectible rather than to USE. It's the Corvette phenomenon. When so many cars are preserved and well kept, are ANY of them really worth anything?

Being an RS and being the textbook Heritage color scheme doesn't help things. It's not a Z28, it's not even a tuned port car. That's a deal breaker for anyone that cares. The red interior is polarizing. I just looked at a Z28 with red interior yesterday. The comment the prospective buyer made was that the red interior HAD TO GO. It took a few minutes to explain why an interior swap is a money pit best avoided. Lots of prospective buyers will see the red interior and nope right out of that listing and move on to something else.

What's it worth? Less than if it were a Z28, or a TPI car, or absolutely any other Heritage Package color combo. It's a car a person can't really drive freely without hurting the value. Some people would do it, others would seal it in a plastic bubble and show it off like the centerpiece of their Beanie Baby collection. Personally I'd rather have something I could enjoy driving... So to me, it's not something I'd have any interest in.

I think I'm gonna keep looking around. I have another car in mind that I like. (89 TTA). Heres a few more pics of this camaro if anyone else is interested. A lady is selling it who's husband died a few months ago.

There's really no comparison.....that 88 IROC vert is worth WAY more $$$ than that 92 RS coupe

. I would wait for exactly what you wanted. I'd never spend TTA $ on as 170HP RS. Not saying it's not a great car, but I wouldn't spend about 11-12k on it. Hold out for that TPI Iroc, or TTA.
